1. Data Storage

All habit data, check-ins, notes, streaks, achievements, and preferences are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect personal information (name, email, phone number)
• We do not require account creation or login
• We do not track your location
• We do not access your contacts, camera, or microphone
• We do not send your habit data to any server

3. Advertising

FlowTraces displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use certain data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, including:

• Device identifiers (Advertising ID)
• IP address
• General usage data

On iOS, FlowTraces uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. You will be asked for permission before any tracking occurs. You can change this at any time in your device settings.

4. Notifications

FlowTraces may request permission to send local notifications for habit reminders. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device. No data is sent to external servers for this feature.

5. Data Export

You can export your habit data as a CSV file using the built-in export feature. This file is shared through your device's native sharing mechanism. We do not receive a copy of your exported data.

6. Children's Privacy

FlowTraces does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The app stores data locally only and does not require any personal information to function.

7. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all FlowTraces data at any time by:

• Using the "Reset All Data" option in the app's Settings
• Uninstalling the app from your device

8. In-App Subscriptions

FlowTraces offers optional premium subscriptions (monthly and yearly) managed through RevenueCat and processed via the App Store. When you subscribe:

• Payment is processed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID account
• We do not collect or store your payment information (credit card, billing address, etc.)
• RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID to manage your subscription status
• Subscription status is synced to determine feature access (e.g., ad removal, extended habit limits)

9. Apple Required Reason APIs

FlowTraces accesses certain system APIs as required by Apple's privacy guidelines. These APIs are used solely for app functionality and not for tracking or fingerprinting:

• UserDefaults API (NSPrivacyAccessedAPICategoryUserDefaults) — Used to store app preferences and settings locally on your device. Reason: CA92.1
• File Timestamp API (NSPrivacyAccessedAPICategoryFileTimestamp) — Used to access file modification dates for internal app operations. Reason: C617.1
• System Boot Time API (NSPrivacyAccessedAPICategorySystemBootTime) — Used by underlying frameworks for performance measurement. Reason: 35F9.1
• Disk Space API (NSPrivacyAccessedAPICategoryDiskSpace) — Used to check available storage before data operations. Reason: E174.1

10. Third-Party Services

FlowTraces uses the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob — for displaying advertisements (Privacy Policy)
• RevenueCat — for subscription management (Privacy Policy)
• Expo — for app updates and notifications infrastructure (Privacy Policy)

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
